Have A Great August Long Weekend Canada (Less Quebec, Newfoundland & Nunavut)

August Long Weekend 2013 It’s almost 3 o’clock on a Friday before a long weekend.

For most Canadians (except for those in Quebec, Newfoundland & Nunavut) they are anxiously counting down the minutes until quitting time before they can head out for some August long weekend festivities.

I know that many of you will be camping this weekend and, luckily for everyone, the weather forecast looks much better than the typically May long weekend snow-fest.

If you are looking to discover some great new tunes while you’re camping may I suggest you ask a friend to choose a new artist or song to see a Pandora radio station on your iPhone. Once you find a new artist that you’re digging then you can head over to Rhapsody and listen to all the music that artist has to offer.

For those of you who are sticking around the city for the weekend and are looking for TV shows and movies to watch I am going to recommend “Orange Is The New Black” which is an original series exclusive to Netflix. The best news is that it’s actually available up here in Canada (unlike so many other great shows).

I’m not sure if you’ve noticed but there is a new trend developing with TV shows and both Hulu and Netflix are doing it.

Of course I’m talking about exclusive content.

In 2013 alone, Netflix has released Arrested Development Season 4, House of Cards and Orange Is The New Black, Hemlock Grove just to name a few (here is the full list of Netflix original content).

Netflix isn’t the only player in this exclusive online content game as Hulu has released The Awesomes and East Los High to go along with the following list of shows exclusively on Hulu:
